I love soft Ice Cream cones. I remember going to A&W for them with my mom and brothers when I was little. I remember going when the little sisters came along, and how Mom would never buy one for herself. She'd just lick down Connie's cone to keep it from melting all over the place. No way would I let anyone take a lick of my cone, though. I could handle it myself, just fine. Something about someone else's tongue attacking my melty treat just didn't settle right.
But the cones I love. Yesterday Mike and Makinzee spent the morning with Bill and Steph at Cornbelly's. They invited us to tag along with them, but we are feeling a need to get my kitchen finished, so we stayed home and worked on that (which is good, right?). To see what I missed out on, though, click Here.
They stayed down for the entire day and Mike went to the Priesthood session with Brent. And Stephanie called and asked if I'd like to go back over to Thanksgiving Point with them for ice cream while the guys were at Conference. Well, that's kind of a no-brainer.
Thanksgiving Point's best kept secret are their soft ice cream cones. These little ones were just the 25 cent ones. Actually, we got them for free. Our 50 cent ones were one of those cups full with or without the cone.
A few other shots from the excursion: Thanks for letting me tag along!

I was just reading Makinzee's blog about Cornbelly's. It looks like a blast. At least you made it over in time for dessert, and snapped a few cute pictures while you were at it.
It's funny, that cute picture of Karsyn eating the ice cream looks like Emily to me. It's fun to see where those little cousin resemblances show up.
Oh man, this just shows the sacrifice it is to go to the priesthood session.
I guess we need to re-vamp our girls night out to include icecream. With so many little ones crafts just won't work anymore, this to me is a great gno!
I agree. The crafts were fun when we did them, but we'd have to get babysitters now, and that just wouldn't be nearly as fun as doing something with all the kids. They had a great time, and I know I did, too.
