Halloween is no longer a single day event, I've noticed. With school parades and ward trunk-or-treats, weekend city parties, and weeknight Main Street costume walks, the event has become almost a month-long precursor to the two-month long holiday times.
That makes for some fun opportunities to get photos of children and grandchildren (especially grandchildren) in costume. I love that none of them are into the scary things yet. (At least I don't think they are. I haven't seen any photos from Sean's family yet.)
Here are some of the pictures from local activities:

Mike and Makinzee hosted their own neighborhood "Adult" party on
Saturday night, Oct. 29. That was our ward Trunk-or-Treat night so they
brought the three oldest down for us to take to our party while they
went back (with Lilly) to their's. They did let us get a photo of them
in all their cute costumes before they left, though.

Halloween, Oct. 31
The ghosts and goblins were out in number on this date, regardless of the fact that it was a school night in the middle of the week. It was 74 degrees - the warmest Halloween on record - and the kiddos got to wear their costumes without a jacket even.
I caught a little Mickey Mouse at Brian and Tonya's:

He was so fun. Tonya had a wonderful monster costume for him which he decided about a week before the big day he did not like, would not wear! She scrambled and came up with ears on line, found some sweats and a turtleneck, whipped together the shorts, and painted black sneakers yellow. He loved being Mickey Mouse! (And I have to say, he made an adorable one!)
Lehi City hosts a Costume Walk every year so the kids can safely trick-or-treat the businesses downtown. The city had just reopened Main Street a day or two before after having it closed to redo it for several months. It was fun to see it and the kids enjoyed being part of the big parade.

I love Halloween. It is my favorite holiday, along w/ Christmas of course. Our kids can't dress up for school and trick or treat is during church so I am grateful for any and all Halloween events that allow us to celebrate. All your grandbabies look so cute. Chloe tried on the goldfish and the butterfly that Bill and Stephanie's girls are wearing. I love Gymboree costumes.
Lexi loved Eric's Mickey Mouse and asked what K&K were...cute no matter what everyone is. I love Halloween that you can dress up and be just about anything.
Maddy did that at about teh same age, didn't want anything to do with her costume. She wore sweats that said angel on it and then angel wings. If it's not their idea it won't fly!!
