Plinky Prompt Question

If you could take a break from your life and go back to school to master a subject, what would it be?

I don't usually take the time to answer these, but in the retrospective thought processes that hit a 60 yr (+) brain, this one seems most intriguing.  My problem continues to be the same one that has plagued me for every minute of my 60+ years:  what to choose?

To master a subject:   Music?  Would I master composition so I could actually arrange the melodies that bounce back and forth inside my mind?

Or what about Art?  Maybe I could master - well, probably not.

Photography!  My current best hobby?  As a mastered subject?  I'm really not so sure.

Writing - finish that novel.  Success with the pen?

My problem always has been and continues to be Jack of All Trades and Master of None.  To be honest I may be a little attention deficit.  I get bored after a while and move on to my next fling.  Never quite getting to the competent level, let alone mastery.

But I love learning new things.   Maybe I would just master being a student.

What about you?   What would you go back to school to master if you had that chance?

I am right there with you. The reason I never finished a degree in the first place is because I could not commit to one thing so I took classes in everything. I am looking at going back to school though and I will probably major in English, or something like it...journalism, literature, creative writing. That seems to be the one love that has endured through all the other phases.

Julie, I think you could teach the teachers about creative writing! You definitely know how to turn a phrase! But it's always good to have that piece of paper, right?

Probably cooking. But I'm like you on being interested in everything. In fact Brian and I were talking the other say about how sad I'm going to be when I finish my masters because I'll be all done with school. I love learning so much. Hmmm, wonder where I got that from?

Oh, but Tonya schooling really never has to end. We have so much access to ways to learn now that we should all be just going on to one thing after another. I like the cooking idea. If I get to sample. :)

Travel agent!! Or cooking. I've sometimes pondered accounting as an option.
