We went to the Cayman Islands in March - business for Brent but fun, fun, fun for me! (Actually, he got a lot of time for fun on the trip as well.)
I was going to blog a lot about the trip, but at this point, maybe not so much. It was just a great trip where I got to do a lot of new things:
Swimming in the ocean
Snorkeling (loved it!)
Swimming with Sea Turtles
Swimming with Stingrays
Eating in outdoor restaurants almost every single meal - even breakfast was taken outside, and the very good formal dinner was actually on the beach as the sun set on Friday night
Playing with, photographing, and seeing a wide variety of iguanas
Walking to "Hell"
Saw coral beds in the ocean - so unbelievably beautiful
Dropped my water camera to the bottom of the ocean - thank heavens someone else was a great diver and retrieved it for me
We came home sunburned, foot sore, and tired, but full of great memories of a unique, refreshing trip. The worst part of the trip was my camera broke and I ended up confiscating Brent's camera for most of my photography ($500 later I have my own camera back and it's working better than the day we bought it). That, and trying to fly out of the island on Saturday.
