Dan took care of us very well in Branson. This is the Hilton we stayed in. Count the balconies from the bottom and our room was the third one up (sixth floor) with the drapes open. The room went all the way to the balcony. We felt very spoiled.
I took pictures from the balcony and Brent took pictures of me taking pictures of him. But I took a picture of me, too, it appears.
This was the view from the window with the drapes open. Nice, huh?
There is a huge lake that Branson is tucked up next to. I wanted to see it, so Brent obliged. It's called TableRock and it goes forever in the Ozarks. It's also very populated with cabins and homes and even a hotel on it which kind of spoils some of the wilderness feel. But we found a little secluded walk and took advantage of it to enjoy the nature. Dan was at work and we were on our own on Tuesday.
Dan's apartment is on the top floor to the right of the center stairwell. I think he's going to enjoy every part about it except moving things up three flights of stairs.
We were able to catch some lunch together on Tuesday, and again later some dinner. Wednesday we were on the road again first thing and drove from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. Thursday, where we finally made it to Grand Junction, Colorado. We slipped through the big storm without hitting any icy roads - hooray! and arrived home around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. That was over 3,000 miles in five days, only four of which we traveled on.
