Makinzee, you asked about an update on the kitchen progress. Well, I know this isn't the kitchen, but since this has to be finished before we can finish the kitchen, this is where our time has gone for the last several weeks. I know it still looks like not much has been done, but there is progress. And that is always good, right? The big square alcove above the fireplace will be filled pretty much with our television set.
Oh, and notice the fire in the fireplace?
That's because this morning we woke up to this:
All night the snow fell quietly. Too quiet. I could not sleep. I love snow, but this is March!
Back to the kitchen: This is where we're at right now. We'll be taking a couple of weeks off to regroup and flee the winter weather (I hear it's mid-70's in the Bahamas next week.) Then we'll be ready to roll up our sleeves and tackle it hard and furious. I am so ready to move on to the next phase, whatever that is! I just hope it has something to do with a KITCHEN SINK and a STOVE - all in the SAME room!

Sink is a must! Have a great trip and then come home and you'll have to have the local sons over to get a little extra help tackling this project!
