Think Spring!

I must be really hungry for spring, because when I was asked to host a table for tonight's Ward Progressive Dinner, all I could think of was spring colors.  Last year I promised I'd host this year, but I wishfully believed I would be back in my own kitchen by now.  I'm not. Fortunately, they needed a table to stay at the church for those members who had a hard time with stairs and a  lot of moving from one house to another, and as a result, I still get to hostess it - just at the church.  So this is what I've prepared for that (and to decorate a couple of tables with for the Stake Relief Society Women's Conference in the morning - which is the main reason I made these, but we can keep that as our secret.)

These are the decorations I came up with:  an inexpensive paper mache box from Michaels with some colorful scrapbook paper torn and modge-podged over the outsides, combined with a colorful posy bouquet plus one butterfly pick - add some tissue and a big bow, and there you have it!

Okay, I know people have been doing these kinds of things for ages and I am truly a little behind the time.  But this is the first time I've ever done it, so I had to share.

I am so ready for spring.
So ready for spring.
So ready for spring.....

It was really hard to leave spring/summer and come back to winter. Darling box. How is the kitchen coming? Or is that a sensitive subject.

You will always be ahead of me in the crafty department. I am severely incompetent and will never be asked to host a table. I love that you went with a Spring theme. If you find Spring, please point it in my direction.

Love the centerpiece - you are truly amazing in all you accomplish. The picture looks like the table settings were also beautiful!
