We also took off for Conference weekend and slipped down to the Shakespeare Festival for one more peak at the show Noises Off. Still hilarious! Three more weekends, people, if you want to see this. Promise you won't be disappointed. Yes, it was totally worth a trip back just to see the one show.
Saturday we took off for the Grand Canyon North Rim and our timing was such that we were able to listen to both sessions of Conference as we traveled. And we got reception for both - thanks to the many radio stations in Utah and Arizona that were willing to broadcast it. Sunday we did miss the morning session, which I must start to catch other ways. I've heard it was fantastic, too. But then, aren't they all?

I'm under a lot of stress, mostly at work, but some with other responsibilities, and so I am eating all the wrong foods. I must stop doing this! Time to get back in the saddle and eat responsibly again.
I had my birthday yesterday, though haven't really celebrated it yet. But still, it's been a year since I posted my 60 x 60 goals and I think being half way through deserves a good look at where I stand with the goals and taking a hard look at those I need to give a good kick in my very broad rear to get going:
Goals I have totally completed (10) (of course, these were mostly all the fun goals and I probably would have done them anyway):
* Visited a place I've never visited before (actually four places - Grand Canyon South Rim and North Rim, Catalina Island, and Nova Scotia)
* Attended six productions I have never seen before (nine to date)
* Prepared and coordinated the Hansen Family Reunion
* Typed my five year diary from my Lewiston years
* Got my blood sugar levels, blood pressure, and cholesterol levels all back to a normal range (YAY!)* Found 60 new words in the books I was reading (most came from War and Peace)
* Read 6 books of different genres (including War and Peace)
* Donated $60 to charity (besides regular tithing and other Church contributions)
Goals I'm on Target to Complete by Next Year (15):
* Scripture Study (goal was 60 pages a month - have met that goal every month this past year)* Dates with Brent (goal was 60 dates in two years - I've counted 35 so far)
* Scrapbook layouts (goal is 60, I've done 28 - but I cheated. Thank heavens for digital books!)
* Walk/Run (600 miles in two years, I did 301 miles last year)
* Plant Perennials (goal is 60, I've planted 39 to date)
* Scan Mom's boxes of photos and letters (getting close to having this done - way fun! to see photos from Mom and Dad's past I've never seen before)
* Complete the Kitchen (oh, so close!)
* Minor Acts of Service (49 of 60 to date)
* Recipe Box (over half way there)
* Life histories for both sets of parents (lots of life history found in the boxes of photos!)
* Grandchildren (including letters, one-on-one time, and phone calls, etc. - still struggling with making the contacts I'd like with my Maryland grandchildren
* Visiting Sean and Linzy in Maryland (going in November)
* Genealogy, temple work, and temple attendance
* Budget and Savings
* Getting all the rooms in the house in order
* Losing weight
* Music and Art Development
* Major Service Projects
* Writing the Novel
Not going to beat myself up over this, but just evaluating where I want to be a year from now, there are probably going to be a few goals I don't make. My challenge right now is to determine which are the goals that are most important for me to make and work on them. The great thing is that I'm spending less time on unimportant things like Facebook games (dropped completely), and I have lost some weight. Just need to lose a lot more. I love that my last blood work all came back within normal ranges! That is a huge thing. And I've learned that I really can donate blood. That's huge, too! All in all, I would say it's been a very good year, and I'm looking forward to seeing what I can do in the coming year.

Goals are easy to plan (sometimes any way) but much harder to accomplish. Way to go! Keep on track!
Those goals are really coming along. Way to go! I love that you made a spontaneous trip for one more look at Noises Off. I love when a play sticks with you like that and you know you have to see it again.
And before I babble on and on and forget what I meant to say...Happy Birthday!
