Sean's baby
Birthdays and Birth Dates
My office move
and (finally)
I'm back into my kitchen
(at least I have running water and a stove, and even a dishwasher - still lots to do, but the kitchen is functioning again).
But they didn't do "Good News" this week. Sometimes they do it, most of the time they don't. This was a don't week.
Ahhh, sadness.
So I'm sharing my good news here, instead.
You've seen my post on Sean and Linzy's baby (below) and our tenth grandchild. He's named after his father and we thought they were going to call him Tyler - or even Sean Tyler (which still could happen) but for right now his name appears to be Sean or Sean Jr. Can't wait to hold him in our arms. He ended up back in the hospital Sunday because he has been dealing with jaundice. His counts are back down to a normal range, now, I'm grateful to say and hopefully everything will be smooth sailing from this time forward.

Saturday was Mike's birthday. To celebrate we went with them to Ruth's Diner - a place it appears that the majority of people in Salt Lake City know about, but I had never heard of. Anyway, it's a favorite breakfast spot of Makinzee's family and now Mike and Makinzee's, just a couple of miles up the canyon above Hogle Zoo. We found out why. We all had a great time there.
Lexi spilled hot chocolate on her brand new shirt and that made her the most photographed person at the place:

When we came home from the breakfast, we found our dishwasher finally all plumbed and connected and the kitchen full of the rest of our appliances. By the time the day was ended, I had a stove and a sink again. Hooray! There's still a lot of work to be done, cupboard doors and drawers to be installed, painting to be finished, pantry work to be done, baseboards and molding to be installed and painted - yeah, the kitchen is far from finished, but at least I can cook again. That's great news, too.
I can live without the dishwasher, but the sink and the stove? Well, guess I learned I can live without them, too, but it sure is nice having them back! The microwave is still sitting on the floor. Think we'll wait until Arnie returns to do the doors and the drawers and have him help us install it so we don't ruin the cabinets doing it ourselves.
And the final fun part of the week was Karsyn's birthday. She's a whole two years old, now! And we had so much fun having dinner at Bill and Steph's Sunday night.
More cuteness can be found by clicking here.
One addendum - tonight Karsyn was playing in the tub and she loves to jump and splash as soon as her mommy turns her back. Well, this time she landed on top of a sharp plastic toy and it left a big gouge in her bottom. Poor thing. No stitches, which was great news, but she's going to have a sore bum for a while....

Wow, you have been busy! Hooray for a working kitchen and I LOVE your new oven.
Thanks! Soon enough you'll be able to share good news minute. Maybe you'll be back in time after the primary program on Sunday! It was a fun week. AND love the stainless steel. Can't wait to come see it in person!
