So we get there, and Brent's pretty skeptical because that was his middle name before someone changed it to "Brent." Another overpriced kid's museum, was the thought banging around inside his head. Until suddenly the girls broke away from us and ran to enter the museum through their own special door. Just their size. Well, that's special!
And then inside all three girls went different directions. I stayed with Ashlyn, and since I had the camera, most of these photos are going to be kind of Ashlyn heavy. Karsyn took Brent through the rain forest, including inside all the little tunnels and over the swinging rope bridges and everything. (Yes, he was sore the next day, but that isn't a bad thing.)
Ashlyn took me into the - umm, not sure the official name - but it was a room all about movement - as in air moving and all those kinds of things. She thought it was a playground, so don't tell her it was supposed to teach her some things.
Kamryn found us in the air moving room just long enough to show Ashlyn how this contraption worked and then she was off again. Just having a great time.
Ashlyn showed me every single little tiny door she could find at her level. I wish I could have got right down on her level to peek into them, too. It was a little busy, however, and I was a little concerned about having someone complain about a beached whale blocking the hallways.
I loved the veterinarian place where the kids could 'x-ray' stuffed animals. Is that cute or what? The digital screen knew which animal was being placed on the scale and up came all the info as well as cartoon x-rays showing how the animal's bone looked. Once again, don't tell Ashlyn. She figured it was a playhouse for stuffed pets.
It was.
Oh, we found Karsyn just hanging around ...
She joined us for a minute in the playground, er, garden spot. Just so fun!
Then Ashlyn took me up to the water room. First order of business: get those boots on!
Empty pegs reveal the lack of water aprons. There were a lot of little people splashing around the room.
Eventually all three girls got together in this room. Kamryn showed me how well the boots work when you fill them with water and then walk with big stamping feet ....
...they splash! Hahaha.
Ashlyn mostly loved doing all the things she could do to get wet.
When we got done, they had to show us how hard the wind can blow (ingenious giant blow drier!):
We had a great time being treated to the museum by these three giggling princesses! Now we need all the other grandkids to show it off to us, too! Because I think it's a great place for adults, too. As long as they have a small hand holding onto theirs.

As always, this is very ARTFULLY done and delightful to read! Love hearing the episodes of the DAYS OF YOUR LIVES...much better than the TV version!
We've been there several times with grandkids. Even Tony loves that place! Great pics of those precious girls!
When I see places like this it reminds me of the movie "Finding Neverland". Near the end of the movie, when the play is about to be presented to the upper-class theatergoers several children are brought in to watch the show. The movie focuses on how the stuffy attitudes of the adults changed once the infectious laughter of a child near them helped them realize how fun the show was (and in this case the museum).
with so much to see and do this is a hard place to take pictures. we love it here and can't wait to go back! thanks again for the pass- its a gift that gets used year round
