Summer Time - 2010!

It's still just a week into August, but already it seems the summer is winding to an end.  It's been a fun one for us, start to finish.  We still have a few more summer things going on, but my niece posted about her children heading off to school today.  Ouch.  Is it already that time????

Well, here are a lot of links from our summer.  I'm including one picture for each, but you are welcome to click on the links to view the rest of the pictures I've posted on Facebook.  (Facebook friends, you've probably already seen them all.)

August 6-7, 2010
We spent the weekend up in Burley/Rupert Idaho for the annual Hansen family reunion.  That was our most recent summer activity.  But it has been a busy summer.

Click here for photos from Texas - We began the summer by going to Texas for Memorial Day weekend.  That's where my vertigo set in.  It hasn't left me yet.  But we had a great time with Sean's family there, including a day at Seven Peaks in Dallas, and a stop at the Ranger Museum in Waco, plus a whole lot of swimming.  We left a very cold, drizzly Utah to go there, and the heat actually felt good for the first ten minutes.

Click here for Lehi Celebration - Mike and Makinzee's new house - Brent was in the Lehi parade, and that evening we all went up to Mike and Makinzee's to celebrate the completion of their new playground equipment for the kids.

Click here for Independence Day and Kamryn's Birthday - No, not the same day, but close enough I posted the pictures in the same file.

Click here for Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City - Brent and I took a day on July 5 to pamper ourselves.  It was a long day, but we had a blast!

Click here for Maddy and Jack in the Salt Lake City Youth Parade - This was a once in a lifetime opportunity for these kids, and we were fortunate to be able to come up and serve as a small cheering section for them.

Pioneer Day began at the ward building with a traditional Twelfth Ward breakfast.  It's been a long time, but for us older ward members it is still a tradition.

We ended the day at Bill and Stephanie's with swimming and barbecues and fireworks.

It's been a good summer.  Seeing all these pictures again helps me remember that.  We haven't got much done in the kitchen, but if you mix into all of these activities over the past couple of months and add Leo's hospital stay and doctor needs and then throw in my vertigo, I would say the summer has been just about as packed as it can be packed.  Love all the memories!!!!!

What a good way to do a summer post without hundreds of pics! Love all the time we have gotten to squeeze into summer with you too!
