A picture of someone/something that has the biggest impact on you:
| Dad, Ron, Arnie, Me, and Mom |
Don't you think when a person is in her late 50's she's entitled to more than one major impact? I do. And the first and foremost impact has to be my dear mother. She keeps coming up in my posts, but I really have been blessed with the most awesome Mom in the world. Ever. Besides carrying me and lifting me and teaching me and cheering me on, she's always been the listening ear - from forever and for forever, I am so grateful I have a Mom who cares.
When I grew up and left home I fell into the arms of the next person who has made an impact in my life for the last 40 years. Together we've moved forward beyond our birth homes, both so very imperfect, working together to become better, to become stronger, to become one. Together we had six fantastic children in spite of their woefully novice parents. Together we explore the world, and explore ideas, and explore our lives. He is my best friend. And he has helped me be a better person. I have learned by his example that you are never too old to change, that you can be a different person than you are if you really have a desire to be, and I know that our future together is brighter than our wonderful past, if that's possible.
And in the process of living, I have come to know one other person, and His has been the greatest impact of all. Because to Him I owe the greatest debt of all.
I testify to you that I know Christ lives, I know of Him, I have tasted the sweetness of His atonement in my own life, I know of His love for me and for you. I believe His words. I have faith in His redeeming sacrifice. His life has and continues to affect mine miraculously every single day. My gratitude for Him is never ending, and in my life He is wonderful, He is my councellor, my mighty God, my everlasting Father and my Prince of Peace. If you have not felt His impact in your life, I challenge you to reach out today to Him. I promise that He is there for you. All you have to do is open the door and let Him in.

I loved these last two posts. I love that you are digging deep with these answers.
How come I haven't ever seen that first picture? I think Grandma looks like Connie in this picture.
I love old pictures, they take us back and remember how much life has become. I had a hard time narrowing this one down to one too--almost did a Savior picture too--beautiful.
