14 DAY WALK WITH CHRIST
Day 1(April 7, 2011 - for me)
How can I follow in His steps?
Read:
1 Peter 2:21 – “For hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:”
Moroni 7:48 – “Wherefore, my beloved brethren, pray unto the Father with all the energy of heart, that ye may be filled with this love, which he hath bestowed upon all who are true followers of his Son, Jesus Christ; that ye may become the sons of God; That when he shall appear we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is; that we may have this hope; that we may be purified even as he is pure. Amen.”
Ponder:
How can I follow in Christ’s steps today? In all my decisions I will ask: What would Jesus do?
(4/8/11) I confess I did not think constantly of Christ through the day yesterday and did not totally walk in His steps. But I did try to help others, to be of service, to share His love some of the time. I could do better.
At Roundtable I watched as one leader came into the cultural hall and took a couple of chairs. A minute later she was back taking more. I kept thinking, “Now she probably has enough.” But then she’d be back for more. Right from the start I felt like I should ask if I could help her, but I kept putting it off by rationalizing she was done. Finally, as she was making her eighth trip or so for two more chairs, I went and asked if she needed more chairs . She told me that now she probably had enough. Thanks anyway.
I think Christ would not have waited to ask.

My friend Cheryl did this last year at Easter time. I don't know if the questions were the exact same, but same idea and I thought it was a great one. I am glad you decided to share it here. And I am relieved that I am not the only one who wants to offer service and waits too long.
Oh I love this idea! :) I think we all try to justify our actions by rationalizing silly things and that is what makes us human. The important part is that you did get up and ask, right? :)
