Mostly I've been working - a lot.
At home.
At work.
Work at home...
But there have been some fun things, too.
First of all, as many as could come of the local posterity of Leo and Edna, gathered for a Chuck-a-Rama dinner on Monday night. That was one BIG family home evening! We had a great time getting together, and seeing Emily and Sarah's darling little boy cousins! Who are growing too fast.
I took a few pictures with our little camera, but was sad that so many came out blurry. Really, restaurants are NOT the ideal place to do a photo shoot, regardless of the camera. But maybe sometimes a not-so-great photo is still better than no photo at all. Click HERE for Photos from Loveridge Dinner

Our work on the kitchen got postponed a few days because - ***EXCITEMENT*** we were having the tile laid!!!! YAY and hooray!!!!! It's starting to look like a real kitchen! Just have to finish the walls (Bill's been doing the texture - great job!) and get the cabinets in and, wow, suddenly we're almost done! (Of course, there's still the living room and hall.....)
So while we were turning over the house to the tile guy, on Saturday Brent and I took the day and went hiking again. This time we went to Cascade Springs and then hiked back a trail into the aspen forest on the east side of Mount Timpanogos. Here are just a couple of pictures that Brent took and one I took, and one of both of us that a stranger took. The rest of my favorite photos I took (with, miracle of miracle, several of Brent) can be found at this LINK.

How can one express in words the gratitude I have for this beautiful country we live in. I love sharing it with Brent. We've had so many fun experiences together. This was another one.

Love the bee picture, and I think you look quite lovely, even in a pile of poop.
I love the picture of you and your hair glowing in the background. Is this a hike our lil' family could do?
I always go to answer comments and then remember probably nobody is ever going to return to see them... but here goes, anyway.
Yes, Nichole. Can't fake happiness. Looking forward to seeing pix of your new place.
Thank you Julie. I probably shouldn't have said anything about the poop, but it gives new depth to the photo.
And Yes, Makinzee, Cascade Springs is perfect for little ones. They love to see the fish in the water, it's so clear. And the trails are really very easy. The only sad thing is they don't allow picnicking there anymore. Which used to be a fun part about going there. But the areas a lot cleaner now, as a result.
The other hike, into the aspen grove, wasn't really a hike. The trail dead ended into some makeshift campsites. We kept trying to find where the trail continued up the mountain - hence getting stuck in the aspen. No luck. I think it just dead ended at the camp site. Which really wasn't very far off the Alpine Loop road. It would probably be really pretty around Conference time. We ought to plan a family trek that direction.
Julie! You look GORGEOUS! EEewww...poop! Been there done that!
