More than just reading ...

Yes, we are still alive.  And no, I haven't just buried my nose in a book nonstop and can't come up for air.  There's so much I want to post and just can't get to it.  Just so you know.

Still need to finish our Christmas video/slide shows but it's getting harder and harder the further from Christmas we get.

Still need to finish sending out Christmas cards but do I call them early now, or late?  Yes, at this point they'll just end up in the recycle bin because they are so so late.

Clockwise - Makinzee, Me (red shirt), Karsyn, Stephanie, Kamryn, Maddy, Jack, Lexi
Valentines Day came with its little flurry of hearts and sugar cookies and red hot hearts (my favorite taste of the holiday).   We had fun at Mike and Makinzee's Sunday Night doing a little valentine party with the grandkids, playing the family photo Bingo. Although I had Brent lug the camera up with us, it stayed in the bag.  Mike, thankfully, took pictures and shared, and they can be found on Makinzee's blog.  Click here  (Yes, Lexi is shirtless - her white shirt was removed to save it from lasagna stains and remained off the rest of the evening.)

Earlier, in January, we celebrated Edna's 87th birthday by joining the extended family at Draper's Chuck-a-Rama where we took over about half the room.  Felt bad for the customers that had to join us in there, but we had a great time.  Ann always thinks of the little things to make a party fun (party hats and balloons which grandkids were happy to take home).  And thanks to Stephanie, Edna even had a little candle to blow out on a gourmet cupcake.

And Maddy had her dance recital.  You can kind of attend it by viewing the pictures here.
Maddy did a great job.  Though positioned near the back and in a corner on this dance, all the rest of the girls kept looking back to watch her, because they knew she knew what to do.  Proud of you, Maddy!  (Song:  "Thank Heavens for Little Girls" - so appropriate!)
Maddy is the cutie in the middle
I took a lot of pictures at work to use in brochures but none of them were professional enough or required too much lighting correction to make them worth salvaging.  It's been a very humbling month for me photo-wise - A bring me back down to earth kind of month.

However, this picture of our new building will be popping up in ads and on websites.  Guess I did one thing ok.

Well, maybe two.  Above is the ad I designed that's coming out in a Utah County Magazine with the Provo Herald in a couple of weeks.   So any of you who live in the Utah County area, just know we're up and running again and even are starting mammography (just a plug).  We can access previous mammo films from IHC sites, too.

On the bright side, we did get the inside of the pantry finished.  And that's been wonderful.  Never thought I'd see the day when I had shelves and drawers going unused in the kitchen.  It's wonderful to have room for everything.
This shows the pantry where it's positioned in the kitchen.  However, it was before I had filled it up.
This is what it looks like now.  Yep, I've filled it up in a hurry!
My own touch in the pantry - just had to have the flowers winding around the support post, so I painted them on.  :)  Oh, and I added color to the background  (a print cut into three parts and modge podged on).  Not quite the Pinterest wallpapered, color coordinated piece, but it's mine.  And I like it.  A whole lot!

Oh, and one last thing.  This is what my youngest has been up to lately:

Heather the Vamp-ire

Steve Argyle snatches her on occasion as a model for his mystical game creatures.  Don't you think she makes a pretty wild vampire...as in pretty and as in wild... LOL   He is a very good artist.

Sometimes we have to give up on getting caught up and just reset. Good job on the picture. I got a new camera and I wish you lived closer and could help me learn to use it. How fun for Heather to model and get cool spooky pics.

I didn't know Heather was up to that.

Pantry looks so pretty. Maybe you can sit and relax and read in there now:)

Yay for the kitchen being all done, right? Phew...
