So, here are a few of my favorite photos from the goings on. You've seen the trips. Don't worry - won't repost them except for the link to the Canada photos. The rest pretty much focus on the parties and celebrations and get-togethers over the last month or so:
We came home from Hawaii and landed in Utah on Bill and Dan's birthday.

Dan gets adopted by all his cousin's and friend's and brother's kids for some strange reason. He's just the kind of uncle every kid needs. He didn't tell them it was his birthday. Just wanted to play on his day, and that's what he did.

BRENT AND THE CUBS
In between everything, Brent decided it was time our Bear den learned how to use tools. He was so good with teaching them how to build their own tool boxes. It was a huge project and took several weeks to complete, but I think the guys had as much fun as Brent doing them.
My Dad turned 88 on the 28th of August. Wish I could have celebrated with him in person!
And then on the 31st Maddy turned NINE!
MADDY'S BIG DAY (S):
For dinner Maddy wanted to go to Chuck-a-Rama AND she wanted breakfast for dinner, too. So on Friday they did the restaurant for those who could make it, and on Saturday they did the 'breakfast' dinner for those who could make it, and we got to go to both!

Saturday night - her "real" birthday - Breakfast for Dinner night:
Yummy yummy menu included regular French toast and decadent French toast and lots of fresh fruit. Wonderful company, too.

We also got to squeeze in a visit with two friends of ours from Brent's mission and their husbands. Loved an evening in the quiet of Porter's Place, laughing, sharing, and reminiscing:

I went to San Francisco (see last posts) and came home to find Dan in town. Everyone had been having a great time at Leo's 90th Birthday celebration which they did on the 14th. Thanks to a lot of people who were able to pick up where I left off, it sounds like the celebration was a great fun time for Brent's father, surrounded by family and loved ones. Dan promised he'd take photos for me, which he did. I just haven't seen them yet. He said he was going to post them on his blog (which he hasn't started yet - ok, Dan, need some help?)
So I'm just going to post this photo taken by Elizabeth at the celebration:
That was the same day our little Sean Jr. turned two! We missed getting to visit with him, and are still waiting for photos from his big day. But love the little guy from across the miles more than he'll ever know.
And I have to go to work and will go ahead and post these for now because there are already a lot of pictures. It's a start.

Seriously just seems like all that was yesterday and here we already celebrated your birthday. Should have thrown that in her too:) Love the pic of Maddy! Not sure I got that one but its a keeper!
