Maybe I should be looking for someone to do the credentialing and the typing and the travel agency and the contractor jobs and the state/federal regulations manager and the lawyer legal consultant contact and the phone calling and the fixing the problems and the filing and all the other things I'm supposed to be doing as Dr. Gibby's right-hand assistant. And just take over the marketing job myself.
Yesterday I had to put together a brochure in a few hours...one that helps people understand what our surgical center is all about. I grabbed our receptionist's darling daughter who was waiting around for time to go to school and with her mother's consent took her back for a photo shoot. I told her she was going to be a little actress to play the part of a child who was coming to our center for surgery. She played the part perfectly. It's satisfying to be able to finally actually see my thoughts materialize on film the way I imagine them in my head. And I was lucky enough to have a little model who was so willing to pose and change position and pose again and again.
But the best satisfaction came when I showed the photo to Brent. He looked at it for a minute. I held my breath.
"This is the photo you're using for the brochure?" he asked.
I confirmed it.
He paused again.
I braced myself for the critique I knew was coming. I love that Brent is so open about pointing out areas I can do better, but sometimes I am not ready to hear it. This was one of those times.
Instead, he softly said, "Dr. Gibby is not paying you enough."
That, for me, is total satisfaction!

What an absolutely stunning photo! Your husband is absolutely right. Congratulations on a job well -done.
That's perfect! Nicely done! And the marketing job does sound like lots of fun...maybe you should make the move. You clearly already have the skills.
Love it, actually thought it was something you found online to use.
