Compare to having a wisdom tooth being pulled. It was one of my three-rooted molars and had broken so much the crown couldn't be refitted to it anymore. Nothing left to hold onto. So, in preparation for an implant, out the tooth came.
We shopped all afternoon. I didn't get much rest.
By Sunday I was pretty haggard. I missed Sacrament Meeting, but made it to the rest of the meetings and we had a family Valentine's Party that evening. I made it to that (as these photos will attest):
Lilly was HUNGRY! These late Sunday meals leave the little ones starving. She chose a cupcake appetizer. Sounds good to me!
After dinner, those cupcakes enticed all the kids. They should have. They were very yummy!
Not 100% sure what was with my grandkids. Jack wanted me to take a photo of him with his cupcake. Looks like he's going to eat it, huh?
As soon as I took the photo above, he smashed the frosting into his nose. On purpose.
Love you, Jack!
The little girls were playing dress-up. I think that's their favorite sport. But between the princess gowns and tutus, Lexi was just a little sprite in her slip and I loved the way her hair fell and could not resist playing with this photo. Still have so much to learn!
The luckiest kids in the world are those with an aunt/mom who used to be a school teacher. Stephanie has group games for everything! They played "Don't Eat Pete" which has been hiding for a few years so it no longer scared Maddy.
And they got to play Valentine Bingo - hurray for peanut-free Skittles as markers.

And who needs to play when she can charm her dad into supplying her with candy without all the work?
We had a great time on Sunday.
On Monday I started feeling worse. Brent and I were due for blood work before we renewed our diabetes meds, so we both went in and did that on Monday.
Tuesday I went to the doctor. That's when I found out all the news I posted about in my last entry.
Tuesday was Luke's first birthday. And we had Cub Scouts and so many things that needed to get done. Tonya called while I was at the doctor's office and invited me to join her at McDonalds for breakfast with the boys, and I told her I'd love to.
But then I got feeling worse and worse. By the time I left the Doctor I was really feeling sick - like move out of the way, I'm going to throw up or pass out or both kind of sick. I met Tonya about long enough to get this photo with my cell phone and then went home and crashed.

Wednesday and Thursday were crazy at work trying to make up for an unplanned day off. Oh, wait a minute. Every day at work is crazy.... Thursday night I played with Bill and Stephanie's girls for a couple of hours and then ...
Yesterday was Valentine's Day and Brent took me to dinner and to:

Play this incredible music - Click here.
(This is 10 minutes long - the best example of his tremendous skill is between the 8 and 9 min. section, but the entire piece still doesn't do justice for what we heard last night).
It was a sweet treat. These are the kinds of roses Brent gives me all the time. What a wonderful guy!

Wow what a week. Was it the tooth that had you sick or did you catch a bug? Didn't ever see those cupcake eating pictures. Lol. Jacks a hoot.
