Embarrassing Moments

Ok, I just posted on Tonya's blog and now I'm not so sure I should have. Embarrassing moments are best kept buried, right? I won't be putting them here. :), but should anyone have any interest, they are welcome to read them on Tonya's blog (see link on the side bar).

My favorite most embarrassing moment actually didn't happen to me. It happened to my baby brother, David, when he was probably around 10 or 11. (We lived in the pink house in Lewiston Orchards) About a mile away, out in the rolling fields that kept the forest at bay, there was an irrigation pond that hatched a regular batch of tadpoles. One hot summer afternoon, my daring brother decided he wanted to cool off, so he slipped out of his clothes right down to the birthday suit, and, stashing his clothes in some bushes on the side of the pond, he went swimming. He probably knows who sneaked off with his clothes, but the story he told us was that when he went to get out, they were gone. Had no idea who took them or where they went to. He stewed about the problem for a while, and when the sun started to touch the horizon, he finally got brave enough to dash home. He figured if he covered himself with mud to look like underwear he might have a chance of not drawing too much attention to himself, so that's what he did. He showed up home with a very red face, a very muddy butt, and, I really don't think he ever tried skinny dipping again.

Well, I did say that I was even iffy about posting mine so you got your fair warning. But, don't worry. I don't think your embarrasing moments were too bad.
