In Honor Of...

Tonya, you'll never know how fun it was to find out we finally had a daughter
to add some refinement to a house full of guys!
And how we doted on the feminine side of you!

Could I ever get away with taking pictures of the boys with flowers?

And never would they have been patient enough to let me spend hours
snapping photos of you with your Cabbage Patch.

Or your Care Bear.

Or Fiver, the bunny.  And when Heather came along,
you were the best big sister any girl could hope for.

Granted, you enjoyed the attention your older brothers doted on you.
(Knotts Berry Farm, Calif)

Even if, at times, they seemed beyond silly goofy
(Manti Pageant)

This picture may look familiar.  I posted it on Heather's tribute five days ago.
But we've decided this is definitely you!
Didn't ever realize how much the two of you looked alike at the same ages!
This is what I get for not identifying the pictures when we took them.

Love these glasses on your face!  How styles have changed!  These were huge!
But you were always so smart - they just kind of fit.

Your "awkward" stage was very short lived,
and you emerged from it a beautiful young woman.
Here you are, ten years ago celebrating your 18th!

And here you and Brian are, celebrating your Wedding Day.
What a beautiful bride!

And look how you've overcome so many fears!
You who could not handle even little puppies, now own a HUGE dog,
and manage very well at being the Alpha Female!
And you are so confident and so capable,
and on the verge of graduating!
You are doing just great!

Happy Birthday, Tonya.
We're so lucky to have you in our lives.
Love you forever!

Makinzee, are you talking about Pei Wei that Tonya mentioned in her blog? Yay! There's a spot we're going to have to take you if you like Oriental! (as in Thai and Chinese). Yes, the food is great and the cost is reasonable. The portions are huge, though. I checked my calorie count and found out that one meal is equal to TWO portions. Easily could have shared!

I love you mom. Thanks for the post. Umm, I think that picture is Heather though. Her nose is smaller than mine, and I'm pretty sure those eyes are brown, not green in the picture. I hate to add to your dillema, but I know that both Heather and I both wore that costume for a Halloween piano recital.

Of course, I don't mind taking credit for being as cute as Heather ;)
