Okay - I know these are
not the baby pictures you were expecting to see. But it's almost midnight, and the baby is in the hospital with her Mom and her Dad, and I am at home with her BIG SISTER. And the baby pictures are in the hospital with her Dad. So the pix posting will wait until tomorrow - but tonight you've got to see this wonderful show of nature God put on to herald Karsyn's birth on this 18th Day of September.

I have seen some unbelievably beautiful skies, but I'm not sure I've ever seen skies as dramatic as the ones that came tonight.
Stephanie finally got the notice to go to the hospital around 1 pm. And Kamryn got to spend the afternoon with her Aunt Christina and cousins. (She confessed to me that she "pushed" when I picked her up. But even if her cousins didn't have a good time, I got the distinct impression Kamryn had a lot of fun.)
The little punkin was starting to get homesick, however, and I know her parents were missing her, too. Since things were still kind of on the slow mode at the hospital, Bill invited us to bring Kamryn to see them.
(I just now noticed where her eyes are focused in this picture - certainly not on the camera. As soon as she saw the "ouwie" on her mother's hand, she became quite certain she didn't want her parents to stay there. No Way! No How! She wanted her mom to get dressed. She wanted her Dad to come home. And when it wasn't going to happen, she collapsed in a world of hurt wailing and gnashing of teeth. I guess it isn't an easy thing to become a BIG SISTER. )But the tears stopped by the time we made it to her house. And what a find! Her Mommy had left a surprise for her. A Tigger Tiger electric toothbrush! Oh, you lucky lady!
We played and ate and got her ready for bed, and watched Curious George, and finally, at the end of a very very long day, Kamryn fell asleep in her own bed. And while we were doing that, Stephanie was busy bringing baby Karsyn into the world.
It wasn't very long after Kamryn met dreamland that Bill called with the news that everything had finally started working. I could hear Karsyn crying in the background. What a beautiful sound! Another trip to the hospital is a definite first thing in the morning!
Karsyn Jane
