When we arrived at Mike's place for Mother's Day dinner on Sunday, he was just finishing up rolling out the dinner rolls and getting them ready to go into the oven, and Maddy was already busy doing her job - cleaning out the bowl. She's a girl after my own heart....
I confess, my favorite part of baking has to be licking the beaters. Give me batter, give me dough, the taste of it uncooked is the best part for sure!
We had a great time joining with everyone for dinner. I took a lot of pictures while dinner was being prepared and then put the camera away, so there are no "family group" kinds of pictures ... just random ones from the fun of the preparation. It's a fight at our house who gets the bowl...guess the other's were not aware someone was hogging it all to themselves!
Haha, it was always that way in our house, too. So Mike no longer fights over it? She was so cute - just quietly cleaning every last taste from it while everything was just going crazy around her. No way was she going to let that cat out of the bag!
That's my fave part of yeast rolls too! But then the yeasty burps start. Oh well--and chocolate cake batter? And cookie dough? But we just had 2 people come to the ER with salmonella--from cookie dough. Ugh! It's probably not going to stop me though!
