Just hanging around - spring is finally sprouting...

What's so great about this picture?  Well, aesthetically absolutely nothing.  Bad angle, too many horizontal straight lines, no real area of focus... should I continue?   But it is the future home of the imaging center where I work, so basically this is where I'll be spending a lot of my time in the coming months.  It's starting to rise from the ground.
Got a new camera.  So I've been trying it out.  Here is a sample of my most favorite recent photos.  I thought the cat hiding in the grass on the right was a crack-up.
Jordan River at Willow Park - it's deceiving, those still waters are....for the river is very full and running very deep right now.  But it does make for a pretty picture.
Part of our resident herd of deer that frequent the fields to the west of us.  Altogether there are five or six.  I love to see them.  The people who live around there don't, however - they eat all the gardens down to nothing.

It's about time!  I've been waiting and waiting for my tulips to bloom.  At long last they are starting to show their true colors.
Some of my favorite blossoms - my grandchildren - they beat real flowers hands down!   I discovered a new trick with the camera while I was watching Bill's twosome the other day.  The "creative automatic" mode lets me select to blur the background.  I had to try it out.  Until I figure out how to do it the "real" way, I think this is going to become a favorite setting for me, especially for close ups.

She says "cheese".   Don't you love those red cheeks and blue eyes?

I LOVE tulips! Hooray for Spring! I am thinking we will not be having a Spring this year in WI. We had two warm days weeks ago and now back to 40 degrees and rainy...or maybe that is Spring in WI and I have just forgotten since last year? I think everyone is having a late spring this year though.

I'm excited to know you have a new camera! I'm not surprised though -
I'm sure your "old" one was completely worn out! Love your pictures of your darling grandkids, as well as the nature ones. Wow! your spring has to be at least a month ahead of ours!!
