The Murtaugh section of the Snake River in southern Idaho. Heather's excursion, May 14, 2011.

| Right. Heather's the one at the very back. She figured she'd be safer (warmer?) there. |
 |
| Really don't know who took these photos. They only could take pictures when the water was calm or they were on shore. I don't think they were on shore. I'd hate to see the water when it wasn't calm. |
 |
| Like here. Now this is calm water. See the waterfalls from the farmer's canals cascading down the sides of the cliffs? It is really pretty. And it was reassuring to me to know it wasn't just ONE raft - but I have a question: Why did they put all the novices together in the same raft? And why was that the only raft that didn't end up overturning? |
 |
| I think she said this was the "Pair of Dice" section of The Murtaugh. She said that is the only Class 6 rapid on the section. They actually pulled out and walked around this one. See, my child is a smart, a very smart, child. |
 |
| At the end of the road - she said most ended up in different rafts than they started out in. |
 |
| Ok, I really don't know most of these people. Heather and Isaac are the two on the most left side of the photo. Sharece, Heather's friend, is the one on the right side. The four in the middle are others of Heather's friends. |
Thanks to whoever took these photos and thanks to Heather for sharing them. Looks like a fun but scary adventure. And Heather, in that last photo, you do look like you are freezing. Glad you finally got warm by Sunday night.

At least they had life jackets on! Not much clothing for frigid water temps though!
I don't know--maybe seeing the pictures made it even more scary for you!
Man- that really looked like a blast! As worrisome as it may have been for mom. ;) I miss the days when we could just go out and be crazy ... but enjoy being a mommy too.
Oh no! I would NEVER do that. I am such a coward and thoroughly opposed to being COLD. I bet she'll never forget it though. Whether or not she goes again...well that's another story.
Those of us who live along the snake river would have said "don't do it Heather!" Sure glad you all survived! Looks like a very beautiful ride though. Thanks for sharing those pictures. Love Ya'!
