Catching Up - 1: Birthdays

Brent and I have been on a lovely vacation - off alone, just the two of us, celebrating our 40 years which began in June 1971, just the two of us.  We aren't just two of us anymore, with six children, four children-in-law, and almost ten grandchildren - and we count ourselves ever so lucky to have the family we have!   The weekend before we took off we got to be part of Kamryn's birthday party as she turned four.  I already posted the pictures on Facebook, but for those of you who don't do Facebook, you can see the photos by clicking here.

Stephanie did a Tangled theme at Kamryn's last minute change-of-mind request.  The cakes and cupcakes and decorations were delightful and the weather cooperated for a change.  Happy Birthday, Kamryn!

Kamryn's family party was on Saturday, July 9.  Her real birthday was Monday, July 11.  And her neighbor's party was July 12.  So she had a pretty full week of celebrating.  We were only able to make it to the Saturday party, however.  Things got beyond crazy as both Brent and I were trying to finish projects at work so we could take off on our trip.

Sean's birthday was the last day of our vacation, and I didn't get a chance to post anything on that, either.  It's been a very successful year for Sean as he moved his family to Maryland and completed some additional training and has been promoted another level in the Army.  I know this is a little late, but Happy Birthday, Sean!   We're so proud of you!   You look great in your dress uniform, by the way!

(Did you know that Sean won the Lehi Baby Contest when he was a whole lot younger than he is now?)

I will try to post something every day for the next several to cover our vacation pictures.  We, um, took a few.....
