After a week of wet, rainy weather, Friday, June 12, dawned with clear skies for a change. I knew it dawned that way because it happened while Brent and I were driving north to Twin Falls, Idaho, for Erin Barnes and Joshua Matson's sealing at the Twin Falls Temple. Erin is my baby sister Connie's third daughter. It was fun to be able to participate with the rest of the family in this very special occasion. Here's a little taste of the celebration as seen through the lens of the cameras.

Waiting for the bride and groom to come out of the temple are my brother Ron with my parents Leland and Norma Hansen, as well as Ron's wife Joy and Connie's husband (Father of the Bride) Bob. (photo by Brent)

Sisters of the bride: Jaime, Kelly, and Kimberly.

Hooray for Josh and Erin! We wanted to shout it out, but we clapped quietly and cheered quietly, because we were warned that the sealing rooms were just above the entrance and we would be heard by the next couple being married. (I'm afraid we were still a little bit noisy.)

A hug for Jaime's son Ammon from his Aunt Erin.

And a stolen kiss on the cheek for her new husband. Congratulations, Mrs. Matson!

Congratulations, Mother of the Bride, Connie! You looked wonderful the entire day! (Photo by Brent)

The bride's family (photo by Brent). (Yes, we have pictures of the groom's family, too. But since I knew none of them would be looking at this and in the interest of space, I'll leave it out.)

Oh, this isn't what it looks like. Josh was actually looking back at the kids behind him trying to get them to do a muscle thing for the camera. But we could say Mr. Matson was pretty proud of being the big guy for Mrs. Matson.

Susie and I decorated the cake. At least this one stayed together. It didn't slide off the plate. It didn't fall apart into a heap of weeping crumbs. You'd think from past experience, Connie would never ask us to do another cake (sorry, Jaime), but she put faith in our ability for redemption.
