Old Glory

Oh, say can you see ...
Summertime in Lehi means it's time to pull out the flags and pour out some good old fashioned patriotism.

This week is the Lehi Celebration, and with Independence Day coming right on its heels, we get an extra large dose of patriotic celebrating over the next couple of weeks. In our hearts love of country really is a year-round thing, but it's kind of nice to have a chance now and again to wear it dripping on the outside, and we do so with lots of pride.

Last night was the Annual Lehi Picnic in the Park. Heather, Bill, Stephanie, Kamryn, Brent and I threw down the blankets, popped open the camp chairs, and laid out a classic mini-banquet of good old Kentucky Fried, potato salad, chips, veggies, and Oreos. We enjoyed what we could hear of the talented performers and we loved the company. (Picnicking right next to the playground was probably not the best idea, but Kamryn especially enjoyed the slides)

In safe hands, Kamryn goes for a walk with her dad.
