Someone you see yourself marrying or being with in the future
Of course, I married Brent, and I see being with him for the eternities as a pretty wonderful thing right now. I'm grateful for the temple and the privilege we've had to be sealed together for all time and eternity.
There was, however, a time when I confess I wondered if that was more a threat than a blessing. No marriage on earth is perfect and we all go through times when our imperfections show more than at other times. I'm glad we, together, weathered that storm and moved through it to the joy we experience being together today. Not saying our relationship is perfect yet. There are still a lot of being human kinds of things we've both got to overcome. But the important thing is that we are committed to each other, and to helping each other make it so we will have that eternal marriage actually be an eternal marriage. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, being married to your best friend is the greatest gift on earth. And forever!

Oh to be that young again! And beautifully said.
Sideburns and dark glasses and brown hair. Beautifully put Ann! What a beautiful picture and cake, I'd like a piece. Did you save your top and eat it a year later? We didn't, and I only ate the one bite.
The cake was definitely better fresh. A year later it tasted like freezer, was very dried out, and we ended up tossing it, deciding the tradition was flawed.
Today I would counsel young brides to either forego the cost of a beautiful wedding cake altogether, or at least to serve every last piece, including the top, to the guests at the wedding!
