Day 25 - They call it a bag, a purse, a satchell ...or a garbage can

30 Day Challenge, Day 25:
What I would find in your bag

This is dangerous.  I cannot find my BlueTooth.  I know it's in my bag somewhere.  Usually I slip it into a front pocket, but I think I dumped it into the dreaded deep pit in the middle of the bag last time I used it.  And I haven't been able to find it yet.  So I'm going diving.  Wish me luck.

This is what I find:
*  3 pages of addresses I need to add for work
*  A 3 month food tracking book from Weight Watchers - started but abandoned when I decided it was just easier to keep it on line
*  My Weight Watchers pocket guide with monthly card and weight register
*  Weight Watchers point calculator
*  Instructions for how to use the WW point calculator
*  My card wallet
*  My cash wallet - mostly empty except for pennies
*  My checkbook (also pretty much empty)
*  Thoughts book - stuffed with random bits of paper with addresses and phone numbers on them.  No thoughts.
*  A bag with 3 panty liners in it
*  Three tubes of eczema cream, two empty and one full
*  A bottle of nectarine mint scented hand sanitizer
*  30 sales receipts dating back to December.  Half with on-line survey requests that would have got me a free something or discount something or something else, if I had done them within 24 or 48 hours...
*  A pair of glasses missing one ear piece.  Hmmm.  They weren't that way when I put them in the bag...
*  A mirror compact from ZCMI -  this could be an antique...
*  5 post-it note pads - wrinkled and dirty
*  3 bottles of hand lotion
*  Ziplock bag with 8 pens (all working, 3 purple, 3 blue, 2 black ink), one mechanical pencil, and one pencil that says "Army of One" on the side of it.
*  Kit with fingernail scissors and metal file in it
*  Big aqua colored comb
*  Scissors
*  Three more pairs of eyeglasses
*  My notary stamp
*  A cuticle tool, must have come from the fingernail kit
*  Fingernail clippers
*  Bottle of ibuprofin
*  A mini diary
*  2 tubes of Chapstick, and one of Carmex
*  3 Diamond Deb nail files  (why can't I ever find these when I need them???)
*  $5 gift certificate to Golden Corral that expires 3/1/11
*  $25 gift certificate to Outback Steakhouse (we LOVE Outback - why haven't we used this yet?????)
*  A large red hair pick
*  2 Partially used packs of Kleenexes  (not the used ones, the ones left over)
*  4 large postcards of granite outlets in Salt Lake City
*  9 individual packets of finger wipes
*  4 insurance cards  (that are supposed to be in the glove box of the car, not in my purse!)
*  Coupons to Sizzler - expired
*  Car keys
*  3 Thumb drives  (one belongs to Brent)
*  3 cough drops
*  8 loose pens  (including a Sharpee that DOES work - in contrast to the one I tried to use at the Post Office last week out of my 'pen bag' that did NOT work)
*  2 empty Diamond Deb nail file cases
*  One empty eye glass bag
*  One individual Shout wipe
*  One ear piece belonging to the broken pair of eyeglasses above
*  2 cases of dental floss
*  5 Bandaids
*  One sealed package with 2 cu-tips, a mini emery board, and a cotton ball
* 15 Rewards cards for various business establishments
*  8 business cards
* 3 other key rings with keys, plus two loose keys that I know where they go, and one loose one that I don't know what it's to
*  A bottle of nasal decongestant pills
*  Coupon card to Bath and Body Works - expires 2/27/11
*  4 Articles of Faith cards with pictures of Jesus with the Children on the other side
*  4 folded pieces of paper handouts
*  1 package of gum, 1 empty gum box
*  Two tubes of Mary Kay lipstick/gloss
*  58 cents in loose change
* One paper clip
* NO BlueTooth
Oh, no!!!!!!!

I now have a clean purse.  However, I still can't find anything.
And I think I carry too many things around in my purse day to day.  There were even kitchen sinks pictured on the granite cards.

Someone once said a person could tell a lot about a woman by her purse.  Do I keep house like I keep purse?  Unfortunately, yes.  Do I clutter life like I do my purse?  Another yes.   Do I hoard things like I do in my purse?  I'm guilty.  I wonder, if I got my purse under control, could I get the rest of my life under control more easily?

But I did finally find my Blue Tooth, in the pocket of my winter coat, which I am wearing in spite of the 60 degree weather we're having, because there is a winter storm predicted for tomorrow and (the real reason)  I left my jacket at Tonya's.

HOLY CRAP Aunt Julie!! I thought I was bad with my purse!! Actually, I am bad too! I feel for you! And mine is only going to get worse when Little Man gets here. Though I did love reading about everything in your purse!!

The crazy thing is your purse is small and amazingly organized, it'd have to be with all that in it! I want to know what is going back in it? Everything you listed.

wow, that reminds me I need to clean out my purse. And we need to go for a walk so I can give you your jacket back.

I threw away the garbage. But, unfortunately, a lot of it went back in. Not all, but a lot. That's why I do not buy one of those crazy big bags that are all the rage today. Just think what a disaster that would be!

Please don't judge me by what my purse looks like! Not organized one bit for sure- and actually neither is my house so I guess you can tell lots about someone by their purse!
